Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an associate to Justice Tinney. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain valuable experience in the Criminal Division of the Supreme Court.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Ensure accuracy and quality in proofreading and editing tasks
- Perform administrative duties, including maintaining court records and preparing materials for use by the Judge in court
- Provide clerking services in court
- Communicate effectively with the public, media, and legal professionals
- Accompany the Judge to circuit courts in regional Victoria, as required
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in a dynamic and challenging environment.
About You:- A strong academic record
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced organisational capacity
- Proficiency in English grammar
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Sensitivity and professionalism in dealing with Judges, court staff, and members of the public
