Financial operations are overseen by a detail-oriented and results-driven Accounting Manager who oversees day-to-day accounting functions, prepares accurate financial reports, ensures compliance with accounting standards, and supports operational decision-making with timely financial insights.
- Manage all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, and balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure organized financial records for all locations.
- Oversee the management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and implement effective budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis strategies to drive business growth.
- Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff, ensuring they have the necessary tools and training to perform their duties effectively.
- Partner with operations to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as labor costs, chemical usage, and revenue per unit.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, and implement changes as needed.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing ongoing coaching and performance management.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Experience in multi-location businesses (retail, hospitality, convenience retail, or similar industries preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, preferably including an accounting system.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
