About this position

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a skilled team delivering high-quality concrete floor preparation, repairs, and solutions for commercial spaces.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in concrete floor renovations and repairs, including polished concrete and waterproofing systems.

You will be responsible for solving complex concrete construction problems, diagnosing flooring defects, and identifying optimal remediation for existing concrete floors.

As a skilled professional, you will supervise and work alongside the team to complete required works, ensuring jobs run to schedule and communicating with site foremen and/or clients as needed.

Flexibility is required due to ad-hoc hours driven by client demands, including weekend and night work (attracting overtime rates).

Full-time equivalent workload: 37.5 hours per week.

Work on job sites across Melbourne and Regional Victoria.

  • Key requirements:
    • Minimum 3 years' experience in concrete floor renovations and repairs;
    • Detailed understanding of polished concrete, including obtaining full, partial, or minimal aggregate exposure using full mechanical polish, pavilion polishing, grind and seal methods;
    • Knowledge and experience with floor waterproofing, including internal and external waterproofing systems;
    • Experience with a range of floor covering materials (ceramic tiles, concrete tiles, carpets, vinyl, etc.) using various tools;
    • Thorough understanding of specialized leveling techniques, including concrete toppings and high-end levelling;
    • Specialized expertise in epoxy coating systems;
    • Technical knowledge of Sika, Ardex, SureCoat, Amerloc epoxy systems.
