Job Title: Systems Engineer / Specialist Technician

Our organization is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer / Specialist Technician to join our team. As a key member of our ICT infrastructure management team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining ICT infrastructure across Department of Education schools.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about technology and have excellent problem-solving skills. You will work closely with our technical teams to administer and support school networks and server environments.

In this role, you will also provide ICT support services in large, technology-driven learning environments. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

You will need to possess strong technical documentation skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent people and communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain ICT infrastructure across Department of Education schools.
  • Administer and support school networks and server environments.
  • Provide ICT support services in large, technology-driven learning environments.

Requirements:

  • Hyper-V virtualisation administration.
  • Administration of Windows and Linux-based servers.
  • Cloud service administration (Google Workspace & Microsoft 365).
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM) deployment and administration.
  • Advanced enterprise networking (Cisco & HP switching).
  • Cisco wireless technologies (controllers, APs).
  • SOE and image deployment, with advanced troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience supporting large fleets of desktops and notebooks.
  • Experience with 1:1 and BYOD device planning, deployment, and management.
  • Strong technical documentation skills.

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 – $110,000 (pro-rata), along with top rates guaranteed based on skills and experience. Regular performance-based salary reviews are conducted to ensure your growth and development within the organization.

Additionally, we provide flexible employment options, including contract, casual, or permanent positions. Part-time and full-time roles are available, and access to salary packaging options is provided.
