Senior Blasting Manager

We're seeking an experienced professional to lead blasting operations on-site and coordinate drilling activities at Mt Arthur South Operations.
Our team utilises electronic initiating products mainly in through seam operations. We also pioneer the use of autonomous drill technology within the Hunter Valley.
This role involves working a lifestyle day-shift roster, reporting to the D&B Superintendent. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring safe, efficient, and effective blasting practices are implemented
- Working towards cost optimisation through the effective utilisation and maintenance of plant and personnel
- Leading and developing the Blast Crew, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork
- Maintaining and improving drilling and blasting production targets and efficiencies in a cost-effective manner

To be successful, you'll require:
- Prior experience in a similar leadership role is essential (including step-up experience)
- A NSW Blasters Explosive Users Licence would be advantageous
- Experience in Through Seam Coal mining would be beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a high-performing team
- Excellent relationship-building skills, enabling effective stakeholder engagement
