Delivering exceptional results in a collaborative and dynamic work environment is what this role is all about. As an experienced Supervisor, Drill and Blast, you will be responsible for leading safe, efficient, and effective blasting operations on-site.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of working towards cost optimisation through the effective utilisation and care of plant and personnel. They will also be responsible for the effective leadership, training, and development of the Blast Crew.

  1. Leading Blasting Operations: Ensure safe, efficient, and effective blasting operations are conducted on-site, maximising production targets and efficiencies while maintaining a cost-effective approach.
  2. Cost Optimisation: Work towards achieving optimal plant and personnel utilisation, reducing costs and improving overall operational efficiency.
  3. Team Leadership: Provide effective leadership, training, and development of the Blast Crew, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

What You Will Need

  1. Previous experience in a similar role, including step-up experience.
  2. NSW Blasters Explosive Users Licence desirable.
  3. Through Seam Coal mining experience desirable.
  4. Demonstrated experience leading a high-performing team.
  5. Ability to establish and maintain influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
