Our Role

As a Defence Support Mentor, you will assist new students and their families to integrate into the school and local community, monitor social and emotional wellbeing, develop self-confidence and resilience, and refer students to services or programs that meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting new students and their families to settle into our school community.
  • Monitoring the social and emotional wellbeing of Defence students.
  • Helping students build self-confidence and resilience.
  • Referring students to relevant services or programmes.
Requirements

Prior experience in a similar role is essential, along with excellent communication skills, organisational and time management skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and accuracy of data collection and reporting.

It is expected that you have an active Christian faith and regularly attend church.
