
Joinery Specialist

Production Employees are versatile professionals with hand and power tool skills, responsible for performing various tasks.
The primary focus is on meeting quality standards and deadlines for joinery items and products. This involves assembling products and items as instructed by leading hands or production managers, along with general factory labour, cleaning, and assisting qualified tradespeople during the manufacturing process.
A key aspect of this role is maintaining quality assurance processes, monitoring equipment, and closely following safety procedures to prevent accidents and contribute to a safe and clean working environment.
Daily tasks include:
- Taking instruction from leading hands or qualified tradespeople to perform various tasks to complete joinery items
- Maintaining warehouse machines or equipment
- Storing products and materials
- Meeting individual production task deadlines
- Reporting defective products or machinery
- Checking stock levels and reporting deficiencies in products or raw materials
- Keeping the worksite safe and clean to avoid hazards from chemicals and fragile products
Other responsibilities include reviewing and following manufacturing shop drawings or cut lists, ensuring shipping procedures are timely, and transferring equipment manually or with forklift trucks.
This position requires strong communication skills, as it involves coordinating work with supervisors and team members to ensure projects are completed on time.
Beyond technical skills, Production Employees must also possess excellent problem-solving abilities, continuously improving their knowledge and skills in joinery techniques and technologies.
In addition, they may be required to participate in training other team members, collaborating with other departments, and contributing ideas for process improvements.
