We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Health & Safety Team based at Sydney airport. The successful candidate will assist with workplace safety improvement plans and initiatives, and deliver improvements in safety performance.

The role involves identifying, mitigating and investigating hazards/incidents and reporting according to relevant health and safety standards and legislation. The incumbent will also monitor health and safety performance through external audits, internal audits and inspections ensuring legal compliance and best practice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the development and implementation of workplace safety improvement plans
  • Identify and mitigate potential hazards and incidents
  • Investigate incidents and report findings
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records and databases
  • Provide support for rehabilitation and return to work programs

To be successful in this role, you will require a formal qualification in a relevant field, such as occupational health and safety or a related discipline. You will also need to demonstrate success in a similar role, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
