Job Opportunity

The District of Columbia is seeking a Data Compliance and Monitoring Expert to enhance fiscal and financial stability, accountability, and integrity.

This position involves monitoring and reviewing financial transactions/data on an enterprise-wide basis to prevent and detect errors and fraud and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and internal control requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verifying financial transactions and documentation for accuracy
  • Conducting analysis of large datasets
  • Developing metrics and standards to monitor compliance processes
  • Performing oversight reviews
  • Collaborating with business units to identify root causes of observations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Four (4) years of progressive work experience performing related duties and responsibilities such as employing data discovery techniques to analyze complex financial data; identifying trends, patterns, and areas of risk to enhance data security; developing performance-based metrics to evaluate processes; and making recommendations to management to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud and Oracle EPM Cloud or Oracle EBS and Hyperion is preferred
