About the Role

The Learning Diversity Coordinator is a key position at Parade College, responsible for providing support to students with diverse needs. This includes neurodivergent learners, Indigenous students, students with refugee status, students who are new arrivals/EAL, and students who require adjustments to their learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and support neurodiverse students, collaborating with key stakeholders to facilitate referral and assessment procedures.
  • Deliver targeted interventions, teach students, and assist teachers with curriculum differentiation.
  • Work with class teachers and other relevant staff to design, implement, and monitor adjustments as documented in Personalised Learning Plans.
  • Contribute to staff professional development and parent education programs.
  • Prepare documentation required under legislation, ensuring compliance with privacy, confidentiality, and disability obligations.
  • Support the development of inclusive learning environments.
  • Implement programs and processes to support students with disability.
Requirements

The successful candidate will be a suitably qualified and experienced teacher with specialist training and expertise working with neurodivergent learners and students with disabilities. They will possess excellent organisational skills, interpersonal and communication skills, and experience working independently and collaboratively with teams of teachers.

A strong knowledge of teaching and learning processes, study skills, organisational skills, and evidence of delivering effective targeted interventions are highly desirable. The successful candidate will be committed to the full life of the school and support of its Christian ethos.

They will also be required to have and maintain VIT registration for the duration of their employment.
