Community Engagement Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Programs Officer to join our team at La Trobe University. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and delivering community participation programs, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive engagement and growth.
Key Responsibilities- Implement the delivery of key community participation programs, including School Holiday Programs, Children's Birthday Parties, and Active Recreation School & Community programs.
- Identify and action participation targets and growth outcomes, working closely with the Regional Sports Coordinator to activate the regional action plan.
- Liaise and communicate with internal and external departments, organisations, and stakeholders to drive visibility and increase demand for active recreation community programs.
- Facilitate end-to-end bookings and program administration, including responding to queries, providing quotes, confirming bookings, and ensuring facilities are prepared and programs are appropriately staffed.
- Supervise the activities of front-line dry-programs team, ensuring the facilitation of safe and engaging active recreation programs.
- Relevant undergraduate qualifications in sport management, sport and exercise science, or related fields, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
- Relevant knowledge and experience in the delivery of active recreation programs in community participation and education sectors.
- Ability to undertake assessment of community and stakeholder needs and implement new initiatives and programs in response.
- Proven ability to lead, support, and engage a team of front-line staff and deliver excellent customer service.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in ensuring compliance and management of risk, specific to the delivery of safe and engaging active recreation programs.
