Senior Rail Rolling Stock Expert

This is a key role within our Rail Plant team, where you will provide critical engineering and technical support in specifications, regulatory compliance, network registrations, and reporting of plant & rolling stock maintenance management and certifications.
You will be responsible for developing a detailed understanding of local rail network rolling stock standards and registration processes. Additionally, you will assess compliance of rolling stock with technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals, and relevant standards and our risk management process.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain records of assessment activities, including certification status and any qualifications, following up on matters related to compliance and reassessment.
- Manage implementation of assigned technical modifications, commissioning, and engineering documentation for plant and equipment.
- Exercise professional judgement in developing and resolving engineering issues, such as methods, design, engineering procedures, etc.
- Apply a risk-based approach to plant design and control in accordance with relevant Legislation/Regulators, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards, technical and engineering standards.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics).
- Eligible for Professional Engineer Membership grade.
- Project Management in Engineering, Science, Building, Construction or equivalent.
