Overview

We are currently recruiting a Rolling Stock Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and operational performance standards of rail fleet. This role is responsible for train performance, contract compliance and overall commercial profitability. Hands-on experience in improving rolling stock asset performance is required – whether it be light rail, passenger rail, rail maintenance or freight/locomotive fleet.

Location- Sydney, NSW – Relocation package available for interstate candidates.

Duration- Permanent, Full-Time

Salary- $200,000 - $220,000 + Super

Responsibilities

  • Team management of a cross-functional team including engineering, maintenance, procurement, and commercial specialists
  • Act as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, including being one of the key client representatives.
  • Overall P&L responsibility
  • Driving continuous improvement and reliability processes across the train fleet
  • Risk management
  • Achieving safety targets
  • Dispute resolution

Required Experience

  • Relevant Qualification in Engineering, Business Management or similar
  • Hands-on experience in a rolling stock management position - maintenance or manufacturing environment
  • Prior experience managing a P&L
