Job Overview

This role is responsible for providing environmental expertise on a project, focusing on planning and management activities that ensure compliance with regulations.

  • The incumbent will provide information and support for regulatory approval processes, ensuring alignment with company requirements.

  • They will develop and deliver environmental impact assessments, management plans, and other related documents to guarantee activities adhere to client specifications.

  • Liaison with the client-appointed representative will be necessary to integrate environmental requirements into process plant and infrastructure design.

  • The specialist will produce and provide mine infrastructure drawings and GIS data to the approvals team.

  • Inputting environmental requirements into the basis of design will also be part of their responsibilities.

Heritage Responsibilities

The contractor must provide information and support for project heritage approval processes as follows:

  • Liaison and submission of requests impacting heritage sites.

  • Liaison with the client to ensure digital data sets relating to heritage sites are up-to-date.

  • Liaison with the project team to ensure heritage information is utilized in design and disturbance permitting processes.

  • Providing reports, spatial data, and other related information as required by the client.

Requirements

  • An accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in an applicable field of study, along with six years of work-related experience, or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to ten years.

  • Effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders, including management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.

  • Job-site related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.

  • The ability to learn and apply knowledge of local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
