About this Opportunity

We're seeking a Senior Ecological Consultant to join our Victorian team based in Hawthorn East.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced ecological expert to bring their expertise to our projects across the state, providing robust technical and regulatory advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead project delivery, ensuring quality standards and client satisfaction.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide comprehensive support for assessments, applying current environmental legislation and policy applicable in Victoria.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with clients, delivering tailored advice and recommendations to meet their needs.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of field-based ecologists, guiding project teams to achieve great work.

Requirements

  • Graduate qualifications (or higher) in ecology.
  • Comprehensive experience in ecological field assessments and scientific reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive approach to work, including juggling multiple priorities and projects.
  • High-quality reporting and reviewing skills.
  • Prior experience in team leadership.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to ecology at local, state, and federal levels.
