Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Community Engagement Officer. This role is pivotal in fostering meaningful connections between the community and local stakeholders, ensuring inclusive participation and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent the organization at events and engagement activities
  • Collaborate with project teams to plan and deliver impactful engagement initiatives
  • Promote diverse participation through inclusive engagement methodologies
  • Work closely with Communications to amplify awareness of engagement initiatives
  • Develop engaging content for plans, reports, and other stakeholder materials
  • Analyze engagement data to inform strategic decision-making
  • Support the development of best practice engagement strategies
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Community Development, or Social Sciences, supported by relevant experience in community engagement
  • Proven ability to design and implement contemporary engagement strategies across diverse projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing detailed reports and engaging a wide range of stakeholders
  • A sound understanding of cultural diversity and inclusion principles, with a commitment to equitable and respectful engagement
  • A current Driver's Licence and registration to Work with Vulnerable People
