Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team at Galleons Bistro, located within our resort. As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
About the Role:
- Lead a team of chefs with clarity, direction, and enthusiasm to deliver high-quality dishes that exceed guest expectations.
- Manage all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation according to company guidelines and customer preferences.
- Develop and implement effective roster management systems to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to optimize menu offerings, portion sizes, and waste management practices.
- Conduct cost analyses and develop strategies to achieve resort food cost targets and KPIs.
- Foster relationships with local suppliers to source fresh ingredients and reduce environmental impact.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment by enforcing proper storage and handling procedures.
Requirements:
- Formal qualification in commercial cookery or equivalent experience.
- Proven leadership experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a resort or hospitality setting.
- Strong understanding of food safety principles and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and direct a team.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger team.
