About the Role

Kirinari Community Services Limited is seeking experienced and passionate Complex Disability Support Workers to join our Complex Care Team in the Mid North Coast region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized support plans to promote the health, wellbeing, and independence of clients with complex trauma and behavioral support needs.
  • Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including homes, schools, hospitals, and community centers.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Contribute to a strength-based, non-punitive, therapeutic model of care that prioritizes client safety and growth.

Requirements

  • Qualification in Community Services (Cert IV) or equivalent.
  • Strong interest in youth work, mental health, and the disability industry.
  • Understanding of strength-based trauma-informed practice frameworks and the NSW Child Safe Standards.
  • Previous experience in residential therapeutic care and complex trauma is highly regarded.
  • Ability and willingness to work shift work, regular sleepovers/active nights, weekends, and public/school holidays with significant availability.
  • Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check and a paid NSW Working with Children Check prior to commencement.
  • Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs.
  • Current Driver's Licence.
