We are seeking an experienced Crime Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with victims of crime from diverse backgrounds to provide tailored support and referrals.
As a Crime Support Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a victim-centric approach when working with clients.
- Identifying support needs and referring clients to other organisations where necessary.
- Promoting and advising on the Charter of Victims' Rights.
- Using trauma-informed strategies to manage challenging situations.
- Navigating electronic case management systems to accurately record client interactions.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:
- Effective communication with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Behaving in an ethical, respectful, and culturally sensitive manner.
- Completing workload within established timeframes and adapting priorities as required.
- Effectively managing rapid change or difficult questions in conversation.
- Performing repetitive tasks according to set procedures.
- Establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with government and non-government entities.
- SUPPORTING AND PROMOTING THE INTERESTS OF FIRST NATIONS PEOPLE.
