Nurse Unit Manager Position
As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will lead and direct patient or client care within a ward/unit. Your role will involve ensuring safe and efficient nursing practice, driving continual quality improvement initiatives, and leading the nursing and multidisciplinary care team at the unit level.

The ideal candidate will possess broad nursing experience, professional integrity, ethical conduct, accountability, advocacy, collaboration, and a commitment to advancing the profession of nursing and care provision.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, direct, and coordinate patient or client care within the ward/unit.
  • Ensure safe and efficient nursing practice and drive quality improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and coordinate the nursing and multidisciplinary care team at the unit level.
  • Monitor and manage business processes of the ward/unit.
  • Demonstrate capability through attitude, skills, behavior, and attributes including collaboration and effective teamwork.
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the relevant nursing board.
  • Relevant management tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in managing and delivering healthcare services.
  • Proven ability in innovative clinical service delivery, harm minimisation, and practice development.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to engage, enable, and manage teams.
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture and articulate a vision for nursing services.
  • Recent experience as a Nurse Unit Manager.
