As the Application Support Team Leader at BCS Technology, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring the Application Support Team. Your leadership will ensure that incidents and activities are prioritized and executed efficiently to meet our service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direction and mentorship to the Application Support Team, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Oversee the prioritization and resolution of incidents to uphold service excellence.
- Encourage a culture that emphasizes teamwork, technical proficiency, and continuous learning among staff.
- Support the establishment of a robust Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) culture.
- Assist senior ICT stakeholders in coordinating resources for effective management of major incidents, problems, changes, and releases.
- Develop strong relationships with IT Operations and key business stakeholders to ensure alignment in operational support.
- Promote and ensure adherence to change control processes and compliance standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge management systems and documentation.
- Ensure applications are aligned with business processes through comprehensive business process knowledge.
- Monitor and manage system backups, reviewing schedules and providing recommendations for growth.
- Actively participate in the development and execution of system improvement initiatives.
- Regularly assess system performance, capacity, and security, identifying areas for enhancement.
- Validate external information from diverse sources, applying appropriate analytical techniques and reporting findings.
- Investigate security breaches in accordance with established protocols and recommend necessary actions.
- Ensure proactive measures are taken to identify, investigate, and resolve system and service issues, with thorough documentation.
- Advocate for safe working practices in compliance with OH&S policies.
- Participate in an on-call roster for after-hours support as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving abilities in application administration, development, and maintenance within a commercial computing environment.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities without compromising service quality.
- Familiarity with BPMN practices and frameworks.
- Experience in Database System Administration.
- Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies, including CI/CD pipelines and Lambda.
- Understanding of development practices and ITIL methodologies.
