Cloud Network Engineer

This role presents an opportunity to contribute to pioneering projects in a secure and complex environment.

As part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network services across on-premise and cloud environments.

  • Design and configure secure network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, firewalls, routing, switching).
  • Monitor and optimise network operations, providing proactive support and troubleshooting for incidents.
  • Contribute to planning and delivery of both business-as-usual operations and major ICT projects.
  • Support the implementation of network solutions in Microsoft Azure.
  • Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams and mentor colleagues to enhance capability.
  • Provide accurate advice, reporting, and technical guidance to stakeholders at all levels.
Essential Skills and Qualifications

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in enterprise network engineering within complex environments.
  • Strong technical expertise in Layer 2 networking (VLANs, Trunks, Spanning Tree).
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco technologies and secure network design.
  • Exposure to Azure networking and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Requirements
  • Must hold an active security clearance.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement (onsite and remote).
