Role Overview:

The Sustainability Field Officer will report directly to the Sustainability Manager and play a pivotal role in supporting the sustainability initiatives within the organization. This position involves collaborating with the commercial sustainability team to:

  • Engage with farmers and agricultural producers to implement sustainability initiatives.
  • Enhance on-farm environmental practices through Nutrien Ag Solutions' sustainability offerings.
  • Assist in the design, planning, and execution of sustainability programs.
  • Create and distribute sustainability-focused materials throughout the Nutrien network.
  • Provide support to the Nutrien Ag Solutions branch network during the rollout of sustainability solutions.
  • Utilize scientific and analytical expertise to become a subject matter expert and assist sustainability consultants.
  • Represent Nutrien Ag Solutions at various industry events and networking opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the sustainability team.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess experience in agriculture, sustainability, or a related discipline, complemented by a robust scientific foundation. Key qualifications include:

  • A solid understanding of the Australian agricultural landscape.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient presentation skills, with the capability to influence and educate others.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Critical thinking and data analysis capabilities.

Additional Information:

The successful candidate must be willing to travel and possess a valid driver's license.
