Job Opportunity: Payroll Expert

The role of a payroll professional is crucial in delivering accurate and timely payroll services. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be responsible for managing payroll systems, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage payroll and time management systems to ensure compliance with legislation and company policies.
  • Process end-to-end payroll, including all relevant payments and statutory obligations.
  • Maintain employee records, including new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, and leave.
  • Prepare payroll reconciliations, reports, and financial summaries to support management and compliance.
  • Assist with payroll and finance projects, suggesting improvements to processes.
  • Respond to payroll enquiries and produce reports as needed.
About You/Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience running end-to-end payroll for at least 350+ employees.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including V-lookups and pivot tables.
  • Experience using KeyPay payroll software is advantageous.
  • A sound understanding of relevant legislation, awards, and taxation.
  • Confidence in using and auditing payroll and time management systems.
  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with HR, Finance, and other internal teams.
  • A proactive attitude, with a willingness to support improvements in payroll processes.
