Job Overview

As a key member of the payroll team, you will play a vital role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services. You will be responsible for ensuring system reliability, compliance, and detailed reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage payroll and time management systems to ensure compliance with legislation and policies.
  • Process end-to-end payroll, including all relevant payments and statutory obligations.
  • Maintain employee records such as new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, and leave.
  • Prepare payroll reconciliations, reports, and financial summaries to support management and compliance.
  • Assist with payroll and finance projects and suggest improvements to processes.
  • Respond to payroll enquiries and produce reports as needed.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience running end-to-end payroll of at least 350 employees.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including V-lookups and pivot tables.
  • Experience with KeyPay payroll software is advantageous.
  • Experience in processing multi-state payroll and a sound understanding of relevant legislation, awards, and taxation.
  • Confidence in using and auditing payroll and time management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with HR, Finance, and other internal teams.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to support improvements in payroll processes.
