About the Role

We are seeking experienced and passionate Care Aides to join our Aged Care Team in Bunbury. As a Care Aide, you will deliver exceptional care and support to our clients, enhancing and encouraging participation in their own care to maintain their independence, where possible.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care tasks such as showering, grooming, toileting, and other support such as medication assistance, meal preparation, domestic assistance/general housekeeping tasks, and social support in the community.
  • Follow a predetermined schedule, travelling from home to home, and having unrestricted access to a vehicle and the ability to follow a digital schedule and care plan autonomously, via a mobile app.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, HACC, Disability is highly desirable, although not essential.
  • Those with a relevant Certificate will require a minimum of 3 months relevant care worker experience. Those without a relevant Certificate will require a minimum of 6+ months relevant care worker experience (FTE).
  • Experience working in a home care/community setting is highly desirable.
  • A valid Drivers' License with unrestricted access to a registered vehicle which is appropriately insured and in good condition, is essential.
  • Ability and willingness to work autonomously in the community, travelling from home to home, referring to a digital schedule and care plan, via a mobile app, will be essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills are essential.
  • Align to Silverchain Groups COVID-19 vaccination policy which requires evidence of vaccination against COVID-19, or evidence of an authorised medical exemption.
