Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Device Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

The Medical Device Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing and sterilization of reusable medical devices. This includes receiving, decontaminating, assembling, sterilizing, and packaging devices to the highest standard.

  • Collaborate with the team to deliver excellent customer service and ensure patient needs are met within guidelines.
  • Maintain an advanced knowledge of AS/NZ 4187 Reprocessing of Reusable Medical Devices in Health Service Organisations.
  • Deliver high-quality services to patients and stakeholders through effective teamwork.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with equipment use.
  • Implement infection prevention measures in accordance with policy.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will hold a Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services or equivalent qualification awarded by a registered training organisation. Additionally, you will have greater than 3 years' experience as a Medical Device Technician (full-time equivalent).

You will also be able to work in all areas of the department, including endoscopy and loan, as rostered, with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.

A rotating roster may require you to work any shift.
