Medical Device Specialist

The CSSD Footscray campus has a temporary position available for a qualified medical device specialist to join our team.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilising of reusable medical devices in accordance with national standards and hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Cleaning, Disinfecting, and Sterilisation: Responsible for ensuring all reusable medical devices are cleaned, disinfected, and sterilised to the highest standard.
- Principles of Sterilisation, Disinfection, and Tracking: Understand and apply the principles of sterilisation, disinfection, and tracking in the CSSD environment.
- Navigating the Tracking System: Navigate the tracking system (Scancare) to support daily work requirements.
- Qualifications and Experience: Hold a Certificate 3 in Sterilisation and a minimum of 2 years full-time CSSD experience.
- Roster and Availability: Be available to work a rotating roster, Monday to Sunday.
- Teamwork and Skills: Be a positive team worker, who is flexible, has good organisation and time management skills, and can effectively navigate the tracking system.
- Personal Qualities: Enjoy learning and contributing to the team.
