The Department of Home Affairs is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Detector Dog Program Supervisor. This role will be responsible for providing technical support to the Detector Dog Program, ensuring maximum administrative and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and lead a team of technical support specialists to deliver business area goals and targets.
- Manage facility management, reporting, and maintenance issues, including official events and ceremony coordination and logistics.
- Conduct and manage procurement activities for goods and services for the Detector Dog Program.
- Assist with contract management activities and provide advice and guidance on recruitment activities.
- Complete reporting, including the production of dashboards, monthly reports, and program performance summaries to support Branch goals and programs.
- Lead and contribute to the coordination of workforce capability requirements of the Detector Dog Program.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders nationally across the Detector Dog Program and partner agencies.
- Coordinate and contribute to policy reviews and conduct and contribute to the establishment of Detector Dog Program governance programs and related activities.
- Support the National Training Aid Control Officer in the management, security, and governance of Detector Dog Program training aids.
- Manage asset management activities to ensure timeframes are met.
- Coordinate Quality Assurance activities, including audits, reviews, and reporting.
- Coordinate and conduct WHS Hazard, Risk, Psychosocial, and any other applicable workplace inspections.
- Ability to manage time, priorities, and resources efficiently.
- Ability to demonstrate resilience and leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong and productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

EligibilityTo be eligible for the position, you must be an Australian citizen.
Security ClearanceThe successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
