The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Training Specialist to join our team and contribute to the success of our One Council initiative. As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive training programs to support organisational change and growth.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a tailored training approach that aligns with organisational objectives and meets the needs of diverse stakeholders across all departments.
  • Use the ADDIE model framework to plan, design, deliver, and review training programs, ensuring relevance, engagement, and best practices in adult learning and organisational development.
  • Collaborate with project teams and subject matter experts to conduct training needs assessments, identify learning gaps, and develop targeted training solutions.
  • Align training implementation approaches with current organisational practices in learning and change management.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees and leaders seeking information or support regarding training programs.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and courses for staff at various levels across the organisation.
  • Design and lead Train the Trainer training sessions to enable selected subject matter experts to train other staff members.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment or a similar professional qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading the development and successful implementation of training programs for IT transformation projects.
  • Experience in change management within a government or public sector environment.
  • Knowledge and expertise in developing plans based on recommendations and requirements, providing necessary guidance to projects.
  • Expertise in training delivery and evaluation for successful outcomes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Estimated Salary Range:

$80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
