Maintenance Technician Position
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess strong communication and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities- Perform timely and accurate maintenance and repairs of equipment and machinery;
- Maintain accurate records and documentation;
- Fabricate and assemble metal parts and subassemblies;
- Check parts for accuracy, clearance, and fit using measuring instruments;
- Set guides, stops, and other controls on machining tools;
- Detect and diagnose faults, and perform operational maintenance of machines;
- Overhaul and repair mechanical parts;
- Work in accordance with safety procedures and report any hazards;
- Trade qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical);
- Restricted Electrical licence (ideally);
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in a Maintenance Fitter role;
- Ability to follow Safe Operating Procedures;
- Able to perform metal work and welding;
- Strong communication skills;
- Technical ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical and machinery breakdowns;
