Role Overview


SA Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Mental Health Specialist to join our dynamic Mental Health Team at Yorke and Northern Local Health Network.


As a Clinical Mental Health Specialist, you will work with a diverse caseload of adults, providing evidence-based psychological interventions to promote resilience and well-being.


The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of mental health principles and practices, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.


Key Responsibilities



  • Provide individual and group psychological interventions to adults experiencing mental health issues.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with clients and other healthcare professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with community services and other agencies to enhance client outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement mental health strategies.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.

Requirements



  • Hold a recognised qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work.
  • Be eligible for registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Have a strong understanding of mental health principles and practices.
  • Be able to work collaboratively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
