Family Welfare Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to deliver integrated welfare services to vulnerable children and families.
Your key responsibilities may include:
- Conducting assessments of individual, family and community issues
- Applying appropriate intervention methods
- Delivering case work and case management services
- Undertaking statutory responsibilities and exercising delegations under relevant legislation
To be successful, you will have completed a tertiary qualification which gives eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, Australian Community Workers Association or the Australian Psychological Society or equivalent.
You will also have a strong understanding of principles and functions of delivering welfare services, conducting strength-based assessments, developing and delivering effective interventions, and demonstrated capacity to interpret and apply complex legislation.
In addition, you will have knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, family and community structures, with ability to communicate and work in a culturally safe manner.
