This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker to contribute to our efforts in delivering integrated welfare services to vulnerable children and families in Arnhem Land.

Your key responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of individual, family and community issues
  • Developing effective intervention strategies
  • Delivering case work and case management services
  • Exercising delegations under relevant legislation

To be successful, you will have completed a tertiary qualification that gives eligibility for membership of a relevant professional association.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work or equivalent
  • Eligibility for membership of a relevant professional association
  • Strong understanding of principles and functions of delivering statutory and non-statutory welfare services
  • Demonstrated capacity to interpret and apply complex legislation
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, family and community structures
