Job Title:

Equity Trader

Role Overview:

Seeking an experienced trader to execute equity trades across global markets, co-ordinate capital raising and IPO participation, manage basket trades, seek appropriate liquidity as instructed, implement and manage direct market access, implement trade allocation policies and ensure alignment with portfolio objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute equity trades across global markets, co-ordinate capital raising and IPO participation, manage basket trades, seek appropriate liquidity as instructed, implement and manage direct market access, implement trade allocation policies and ensure alignment with portfolio objectives.
  • Monitor equity markets, stock flows and insights, company news flow, macroeconomic developments, and sector trends to provide actionable insights to investment teams.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with brokers and trading platforms to optimise execution quality, access differentiated market flow and negotiate appropriate commission rates.
  • Ensure all trading activities adhere to internal policies, regulatory standards, and risk controls, with a strong focus on transparency and auditability.
  • Leverage trading systems and data analytics tools to support efficient execution and post-trade analysis.
  • Oversee and co-ordinate payment of research tags and CSA arrangements.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in equities trading or dealing within an investment management business.
  • Strong existing relationships across a wide range of market participants.
  • Excellent understanding of equity markets, trading strategies, and market microstructure.
  • Proven experience with trading platforms and order management systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure environment with sound judgement and integrity.
