Groundwater Expert Opportunity in Australia

Join our team of experienced groundwater professionals and take on complex challenges in contaminated land and groundwater assessment. We are looking for a talented Associate to Hydrogeologist to help drive excellence in project delivery, client engagement, and technical mentorship.

About the Role:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and interpretation of groundwater investigations and monitoring programs
  • Deliver hydrogeological risk assessments and conceptual site models for contaminated land and remediation projects
  • Provide technical direction on groundwater fate and transport modeling, including contaminant behavior
  • Review and prepare high-quality technical reports and proposals
  • Engage with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure project success and foster strong relationships
  • Mentor and support junior hydrogeologists and environmental scientists within the team
  • Contribute to the development of innovative approaches and solutions in hydrogeology and contaminated land assessment

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
  • Postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded
  • Strong communication, report writing, and project management skills
  • Minimum 8 years' professional experience in contaminated land and groundwater projects, ideally within a consultancy environment
  • Proven expertise in hydrogeological assessment, including aquifer testing, data interpretation, and conceptual site modeling
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, guidelines, and reporting standards relevant to contaminated sites
  • Experience with groundwater modeling software (e.g., MODFLOW, FEFLOW) and contaminant transport tools
  • The ability to mentor and guide junior team members
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering quality outcomes
