Community Resilience Coordinator

The role of a Volunteer Support Officer plays a major part in Victoria's emergency response activities.
- Key responsibilities include assisting VICSES volunteers during scheduled training, unit meetings and other regional activities.
- Employees can be directly employed for these roles or may be called upon to support emergency response activities as required following appropriate training and suitability assessment.
VICSES focuses on working with communities and partners in building resilience to achieve more aware, informed and prepared communities. We support them to understand their risk and the relevance of taking action before, during and after emergency events.
Key Responsibilities- Assist VICSES volunteers during scheduled training, unit meetings and other regional activities.
- Provide assistance to volunteer units during emergency response activities.
- Support VICSES in its goal to build resilient communities through education and awareness programs.
Key skills required include excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A strong understanding of emergency management principles and practices is also essential.
Requirements- Relevant experience in emergency management or a related field.
