Indigenous Community Champion Role

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic advocate to promote the safety and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people at risk of domestic and family violence.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing outreach services in remote communities across Queensland, delivering support and advocacy for clients affected by family and domestic violence

  • Collaborating with local agencies and organizations to provide comprehensive support services, developing and maintaining relationships with community members and stakeholders

  • Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, working within a supportive and inclusive environment

Skill Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in community work, with a strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and issues

  • Ability to participate in training and professional development opportunities, enhancing your skills and knowledge in community work and Indigenous issues
