Indigenous Community Champion Role
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic advocate to promote the safety and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people at risk of domestic and family violence.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing outreach services in remote communities across Queensland, delivering support and advocacy for clients affected by family and domestic violence
Collaborating with local agencies and organizations to provide comprehensive support services, developing and maintaining relationships with community members and stakeholders
Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, working within a supportive and inclusive environment
This role offers opportunities for growth and personal development, with a focus on making a real difference in the lives of Indigenous Australians.
Skill Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in community work, with a strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and issues
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with community members and stakeholders
Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
Ability to participate in training and professional development opportunities, enhancing your skills and knowledge in community work and Indigenous issues
