User Experience Designer

About the Role:

This organisation seeks a skilled User Experience Designer to become an integral part of their Business Solutions Branch.

This role demands collaboration with various stakeholders to craft comprehensive user experiences across web and app platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversees the user-centred design process, leveraging design thinking methodologies.

Shapes user experience via user flows, information architecture, sketches, wire frames, and prototypes.

Engages with stakeholders to discern user issues and transform them into actionable requirements.

Develops interactive prototypes for user testing, refining them based on received feedback.

Executes qualitative user research, including interviews and usability testing, to guide design choices.

Presents design concepts using research insights, personas, customer journey maps, and mock-ups.

Contributes to the design system and upholds brand consistency.

Works closely with developers to ensure designs are technically feasible and addresses implementation challenges.

Manages multiple projects throughout the product life-cycle, from discovery to implementation.

Requirements:

Must have active NV1 clearance.

Must provide a short pitch for the Selection Criteria.

Required Skills and Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in UI/UX design or a related field.

In-depth understanding of Human Centred Design/Design Thinking methodologies.

Familiarity with design systems, accessibility standards, and responsive design principles.

Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, InVision, Photoshop, or equivalent.

A portfolio that showcases a range of design projects.

Strong communication abilities, capable of articulating design solutions effectively.

Prior experience working in Agile development teams.
