**Job Title:** Workshop Technician

About the Role

This position involves playing a vital part in driving business growth by ensuring the maintenance and repair of subsea oil and gas equipment are carried out efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining and repairing subsea oil and gas equipment to meet operational standards.
  • Evaluating materials, equipment, parts, procedures, and qualifications necessary to complete tasks according to established protocols and health and safety guidelines.
  • Commissioning, running, maintaining, and repairing Baker Hughes equipment as required.
  • Ensuring workshop procedures are up-to-date and followed consistently.
  • Promoting compliance with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining workshop equipment and facilities in good working order.
  • Verifying WOP documentation is accurate, signed, and filed correctly.
  • Using materials and support substances according to specific requirements.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of relevant workshop experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Mechanical Fitting Cert III qualification or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical skills and ability to multitask using technical equipment, with good problem-solving skills.
  • Basic mathematical, mechanical aptitude, and computer skills.
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Experience and knowledge of subsea equipment such as trees, chokes, IWOCS, and control systems (desired).
