Our institution is seeking an experienced educator to contribute to the development of occupational therapists by educating and supporting students as they build their clinical skills and undertake professional placements.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the next generation of occupational therapists through teaching and mentoring.
- A PhD qualification in a relevant field or equivalent accreditation and standing;
- Effectiveness as a teacher including the capacity to conceive, develop and deliver higher education curricula and contribute to relevant areas of teaching;
- Research experience and potential including refereed publications, participation in research teams and sound knowledge of research methodologies relevant to the discipline/field;
- Evidence of leadership of quality clinical education of undergraduate students in various forms: simulated, telehealth, external and internal placements;
- Membership of and connections with professional bodies, community groups and/or professional practice and evidence of leading development of new partnerships;
- Strong personal qualities and collegial approaches contributing to a positive academic environment conducive to high levels of engagement and standards of achievement for staff and students and evidence of leading staff;
- Evidence of participation in academic development activities and a desire to continue learning and improving as an effective academic.
