We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Officer to join our team in Debt Management. As a key member of our Statewide Revenue Management team, you will play a critical role in developing and coordinating debt management procedures and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and coordination of debt management procedures and processes, including debt referral management.
- Take a lead role in the development of Statewide Revenue debt management and recovery procedures, with a focus on hospital patient reclassifications, write-offs, waivers, payment plans, credits, and adjustments.
- Undertake research and analysis, developing recommendations to contribute to strategies that maximize hospital revenue, particularly in relation to Medicare ineligible and compensable patients.
- Undertake financial analysis, reconciliations, reporting, and other general accounting functions, in accordance with established financial management procedures.
- Assist in the identification of non-compliance with the legislative, regulatory, and policy framework and Treasurer's instructions, and contribute to the development of strategies to address this.
- Participate in and contribute to the development of a debt management monitoring and reporting framework, in consultation with system administrators and relevant managers, with a focus on the automation of reports.
- Liaise with departmental business units and patients on debt management issues and prepare written correspondence as required.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to revenue team members, in relation to debt management policies and processes.
- Permanent, full-time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight.
- Salary: $79,529 - $91,517 per annum.
- 11.5% superannuation contribution.
