Leadership Role for Community Impact

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team in Melbourne.
In this key role, you will be responsible for ensuring the project delivers a meaningful and lasting social legacy by addressing community needs, promoting sustainability, and driving initiatives that benefit local businesses, Indigenous groups, and regional communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement community engagement strategies to foster trust, collaboration, and proactive communication with stakeholders.
- Act as the main point of contact for community inquiries, feedback, and complaints, ensuring concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Strategically design and implement initiatives that create lasting social benefits for the local community, such as education, employment, and training programs.
- Collaborate with Indigenous communities to ensure cultural heritage and inclusion are prioritized and integrated into project activities.
- Build strong relationships with local councils, government authorities, Indigenous groups, environmental organizations, and other key stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Community Development, Sustainability, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in community engagement, stakeholder management, or social responsibility programs.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver community-centered initiatives that create long-term social value.
- Knowledge of Victorian regional communities, including challenges and opportunities they face.
- Experience working with Indigenous groups and facilitating culturally inclusive practices.
- Strong communications skills (oral and written) including negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
