Overview
Manningham Council is seeking to appoint an impactful Director Connected Communities to lead a broad portfolio that delivers services from maternal and child health, children, youth and families, recreation, healthy ageing, through to economic development, events and grants. The Director reports to the CEO and is part of the executive team. The role has four direct reports and oversees approximately 85 staff.
You will bring a track record of leading community‑focused service delivery and building strategies that deliver value and long‑term benefits. You will be a high performing, collaborative professional with a contemporary approach to engaging and developing multi‑disciplinary teams, and you will thrive in building authentic community engagement and partnerships.

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and service delivery leadership for a diverse community portfolio.
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team and foster a positive organisational culture.
- Report directly to the CEO and be part of a closely aligned executive team.
- Lead community engagement, partnerships and multi‑disciplinary collaboration to deliver value to the community.
- Oversee services including maternal and child health, children, youth and families, recreation, healthy ageing, economic development, events and grants.
About Manningham Council
We are responsible for a 114 km municipality in Melbourne's East, stretching from Bulleen to Wonga Park, 12 km from Melbourne's CBD. The area includes suburbs such as Bulleen, Doncaster, Doncaster East, Donvale, Park Orchards, Templestowe, Templestowe Lower, Warrandyte, Warrandyte South and parts of Wonga Park, Nunawading and Ringwood North. Manningham features a Green Wedge, major activity centres, parklands, open spaces, and vibrant shopping and dining precincts. The community is diverse with a broad range of languages, cultures and traditions.
