Staff Development Officer

The Queensland Fire and Emergency Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Development Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Regional Operations Branch, you will play a critical role in supporting the execution of our staff development framework across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate staff performance and appraisal development plans for the Region
- Conduct training needs assessments to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in staff development
- Assist with the coordination, delivery, and facilitation of staff development activities
- Provide advice and input to ensure staff development curriculum is contemporary and aligned with operational currency
- Monitor, audit, and report on learning and development programs
Requirements:
- Must meet the mandatory requirements and attributes as outlined in the generic RFSQ Rural Officer Two (RFSO2) role description
- Possession of current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or accredited tertiary qualification in adult education or equivalent
Desirable Requirements:
- High level understanding of contemporary training methodologies and willingness to maintain competencies and skills
- Knowledge of, or experience working with volunteers and/or within a volunteer organisation
