Key Power Expert

This exciting opportunity is for a seasoned Power Engineering Specialist to join our dynamic and growing team. As a key member of the power business, you will play a crucial role in delivering successful client outcomes on high-value projects from traditional high voltage power transmission to infrastructure, industrial projects with many energy sector clients.

As a lead technical professional, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the technical delivery of Primary/HV projects from feasibility, concept designs, detail designs and owner's engineer
  • Developing, mentoring and leading junior engineers
  • Leading the primary design of high voltage substations and other related infrastructure
  • Collaborating with engineering and project teams to deliver timely and accurate documentation and reports
  • Leading teams of engineers to undertake larger packages of work, including training and mentoring junior staff
  • Providing Concept and Detailed design and review of specifications, drawings etc
  • Maintaining current design standards as set by legislative requirements
  • Carrying out quality checks and procedures
  • Contributing to high-quality technical advice for our clients

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong background in electrical engineering and a proven track record of delivering complex power projects
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring junior engineers
  • Varied Electrical Engineering skills allowing you to contribute to the power business in a broader sense
