Job Overview:
The role of Maintenance Manager for Poultry Farms is a critical position within our organisation, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of engineering maintenance and technology across multiple poultry rearing and production sites.
This position involves managing engineering maintenance and technology breakdowns promptly, designing and implementing preventative engineering maintenance programs, and developing key performance indicators (KPIs) for engineering maintenance and technology. Additionally, you will be required to provide input into capital expenditure and operational expenditure programs, including annual budget development, and implement an annual engineering maintenance, technology, and preventative works program.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or Diploma, relevant trade qualifications, 3+ years experience in a farming environment, good computer literacy, well-developed written and verbal communication skills, and analytical skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing engineering maintenance and technology breakdowns
- Designing and implementing preventative maintenance programs
- Developing KPIs for engineering maintenance and technology
- Providing input into capital and operational expenditure programs
- Implementing an annual maintenance program

Key Skills and Qualifications:
A mechanical engineering degree or diploma, combined with relevant trade qualifications and at least 3 years of experience in a farming environment.
Good computer literacy, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Analytical skills and the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
Experience in managing maintenance teams and implementing preventative maintenance programs would be highly beneficial.
