About the Role

The Senior Manager, Conservation Science will lead and drive the operations of our science function, ensuring alignment with our strategy. This newly created role is critical to the success of our organisation.

This is an ongoing full-time position with flexible work arrangements available. The successful candidate will be based in our Melbourne CBD office and require an on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities

  1. To be the Trust's voice on science, providing expert guidance and advice.
  2. To ensure integrity through a scientifically robust evidence-base while taking a risk-based approach on issues like climate change and nature markets.
  3. To build scientific capability within the team and across the organisation.
  4. To communicate scientific concepts clearly and articulately to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
  5. To be a subject matter expert working within a collaborative team, inputting into organisational decisions.
  6. To demonstrate cultural competence and understanding of the interrelationship between science and Traditional Ecological Knowledge.

What We Offer

A base salary range of $111,343-$136,394 p.a., plus superannuation, with the starting salary point depending on experience and skill set.
