Radio Configuration Specialist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to provide high-quality technical and operational support for P25 subscriber radio configuration and documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience with Motorola ASTRO P25 voice radio systems or other digital Land Mobile Radio systems.

This role requires collaboration with customers, staff, management, and vendors to drive customer technical requirements and manage codeplug development and regression testing. Strong communication skills and the ability to represent subscriber impact of proposed configuration changes are essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical support for customers, internal, and external stakeholders to deliver voice radio and communication solutions.
  • Managing deployment of codeplug updates after liaising with customers and Network Operations Centre for Change Request approval.
  • Maintaining applicable software tool/server versions to ensure support for latest available released production versions.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Electronics/Computer Systems Engineering or similar (Extensive industry experience will be considered as an alternative).
  • Experience with public safety-grade radio systems configuration, implementation, and operation.
  • Software/firmware regression testing experience and best practices.
  • Codeplug development/management experience.
